THE BAY to TAPAI new works by OPTIMIST
FreeGoldWatch presents “The Bay to Taipei.” new painting and mixed media works by Optimist.
An Oakland native, Optimist’s work can be seen on the streets of the U.S. and abroad. This collection focuses on the contrasting visual landscapes of Taipei and the Bay Area, as well as the social, cultural, and geographical effects of Westernization on Taiwan. This will be his first time exhibiting a body of work in a gallery setting. There will be a limited edition zine available at the opening. Reception 7–11:00pm
