“Graffiti”

A powerful voice in a youthful era

Making a choice, describing the terror

Artistic expression on the walls in the alley

Compared to garbage and cattle calls in the valley

Loud and obnoxious, or does the truth make you nauseous?

Feel free to be vocal, but you better be cautious?

Too much to handle as they paint with a candle

For every second is danger, waiting to dismantle!

Talented students in the fine arts of evolution

Portraying the shame and mental pollution

How can you say, It’s not an artistic display?

How can you see, when you live in the grey?

It’s a new time now and walls don’t have fears

Now, they have voices and it’s burning your ears

Writing the phrases you’ve wanted to speak

But now it’s too late; Your free spirit’s too weak

You want to quiet the children; just let things be?

But we won’t stay quiet and we’ll never agree!

To the foolish thoughts and ideas of; Your history

So i say: Continue to scribble and spray GRAFFITI

This is “5280 High & Rising,” the latest mural from art team Michael Ortiz and Jonathan Lamb, formally known as Like Minded Productions. It was done in conjunction with the Larimer Street Art Festival that was held last weekend. The mural is located on the east corner of 27th and Larimer in Denver. It’s a desolate, dark corner of the city and everyone involved with the project has high hopes that the art will have a positive influence on the community.

Even if he had not already been arrested for the same offence 47 times before, this mugshot would be a bit of a giveaway.Kelly Gibson smiles with glazed eyes and silver spray paint covering his chin, nose and half his face for the photo in the U.S.The addict was arrested by police in Fort Wayne, Indiana, Gibson was found by officers inhaling silver spray paint from a plastic bag.Police are said to have discovered him with a can of spray paint in one hand and a paint-covered plastic bag in the other.The house allegedly stank of toxic chemicals and the addict had paint on his hands, mouth, nose and chin.Solvent abuse is highly dangerous with scores of deaths every year. The first time can kill and prolonged abuse can lead to brain, liver and kidney damage.Addicts become intoxicated almost immediately because the substances are so strong but the ‘high’ quickly wears off, often resulting in sustained abuse.
