New York City has changed the law on graffiti clean up. New measures in effect state that any name, number, image, slogan or message that appears on buildings without the permission of the owner will be removed by the city. Building owners will have 35 days to notify the city if they wish to keep their TATS crew murals.
This is the opposite of the original law, which said owners must notify the city if they wish to have the graffiti removed.
