Sometimes I make music videos when I’m not filming graff.
I was really blown away by these images created by the light artists Jan Wöllert and Jörg Miedza. Using a long exposure and LED lights, the duo experimented with Light Art Performance Photography (LAPP-PRO) to create fantastic ‘light paintings’.
The team can spend months preparing for each performance, which is always recorded in a single photographic shot.
The artists credit the development of the movement to when Wöllert was once locked in a warehouse overnight with nothing but a camera and an LED light for company (we don’t know why). While keeping himself occupied, the 39-year-old realized the potential of long exposure and light performance.
“I didn’t realise I would be shut in but fortunately I had my tools. I had to wait until the next morning before I could sneak out. If it wasn’t for that then this art movement might never have started,” he said.
Articled nicked from here.
My friend put me on to this movie a few weeks ago by Alisha Lim.
Pretty sure its from Arizona.
